Mobile application for an intelligent beekeeping system

The aim of this thesis is to design and create an application which will allow beekeepers to manage their hives with a mobile phone.The reason for this is centralisation and clarification of all colected data from visits to the hive, where this data could be later used to create statistics.Furthermore, this app contains ways to notify the beekeeper that there is a need of intervention with the hive using their own alerts and statistics of selected properties of a hive. The result of this work is the previously described application.
Legal regulation of beekeeping

The diploma thesis discusses beekeeping and the basic rights and obligations of beekeepers and other persons responsible for ensuring the greatest possible protection of bees. The absence of a single comprehensive law results in the fragmentation of legislation into many private and public law regulations. The diploma thesis describes the main institutes of beekeeping law from its very birth to the present, with an evaluation of the pros and cons of individual development tendencies, together with an outline of the legal regulation, what de lege ferenda should be. This thesis is divided into three main parts, which are subsequently divided into chapters, subsections and possibly lower levels. The first part consists of four chapters dealing with the historical development of beekeeping and beekeeping law in our territory. The second part, focuses on private law areas of beekeeping, is divided into two chapters. The first chapter of these defines the bee in terms of private law. The second one deals with the issue of neighborhood rights, while the individual sub-chapters include the topics of neighborhood rights as a civil law concept, immigration, swarm law, liability for damage and its compensation, and methods of resolving neighborhood disputes. Beekeeping and Its Use in Elementary School

This thesis focuses on beekeeping and possibilities of its use in elementary schools. The first part is dedicated to the entire superfamily Apidae with a focus on the honeybee. However, other representatives are also mentioned across various social models, from solitary bees to those living in different levels of community life, up to large bee colonies. The second part of the thesis outlines the development of beekeeping, first at a general level and then within our country. It covers the inception of the relationship between humans and bees, the first pioneers of true beekeeping in the Mediterranean by Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans, and the development of beekeeping in our territory from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. The third and final part of the thesis is dedicated to the utilization of beekeeping in elementary schools. In this didactic section, various possibilities of incorporating bees into education across different subjects in elementary schools are described. The text includes proposals for topics and lesson plans, possible utilization of interdisciplinary relationships and tandem teaching, as well as suggestions for worksheets. This thesis includes history of beekeeping in our territory and types of mead production. Three types of wine yeasts and three types of honey are examined in this thesis - overall 9 samples of mead is examined and produced. These samples are subjected to sensoric and analytic examination and results are arranged to charts and graphs

The bachelor thesis is focused on the decrease of pollinator insects in the landscape. The majority of the thesis is dedicated to the bees. The thesis is focused on the decrease of pollinating insects both within the global and local context in the Czech Republic. Literary research examines the causes and effects of the decrease but also the steps to undertake within the protection, recommendations, measures and different approach towards pollinator insects. The research itself is defined by the location Brno-venkov and the whole research is dedicated only to the bees. The research is carried out by the method of semi-structured interviews with beekeepers. The interviews examine the subjective view of the issue and also whether the beekeepers themselves registered the decline of their hives and how they approached it. The research shows that beekeepers themselves do not observe a decrease in the long run, on the contrary, there has been an increase in the number of hives. However, the decrease of pollinators insects, in general, was observed by several respondents, most of them were species of bumblebees and butterflies. Several beekeepers mentioned poor or insufficient cooperation with farmers, agricultural chemistry and a ruthless approach to the environment.
